I've spent some time making it easier to browse through the section of my website that contains the movies in my collection. you will no longer need to scroll and scroll and scroll down the page to see all the movies I own, nor will you have to scroll back up after clicking on the alphabetized links at the top.
I have broken up the former "My Movies" page into a page containing a list of movies for each letter of the alphabet (of which I currently own). Therefore, each page is A LOT shorter and much easier to quickly browse. All you need to do to see the list of movies starting with a certain letter of the alphabet is to click on the corresponding letter at the top of the page.
Or you can use my newest navigation addition by clicking on the left or right arrrows to navigate through the whole list (each page).
I think you should check it out! My Movies are much easier to browse and it will be quicker for you if you are looking for something specific and just don't want to browse through everything to find what you are looking for. These new changes will definitely make it much easier for me to update the list, too, when I purchase a new movie.

New look...
The intro page is up and running!!
It is not as advanced as I have planned for it as I still do not possess those web design capabilities. The page is very much functioning better than I had anticipated at this point. I went ahead and completed the links to the three planned branches of DavidSanctuary.com: Books, Music, and Outdoors. These three sub-sites are only one page deep, but include information there on what I have planned for each one respectively. The link to "Movies" will take you to the pre-existing DavidSanctuary.com.
Along with a new intro page I have pulled the "Contact Me" page out of my movies section and made it universal to the entire site (Books, Music, and Outdoors included). You will notice the Intro and Contact Me pages have a different look than what you are used to seeing, but that they are consistent with one another. Send me a comment through the Contact Me page and you will see one more page that fits this color scheme.
Another thing to take note of: I did a little tinkering with the "About Me" page, changing it to a "Movies & Me" page. You'll want to be sure and take a look at it.
I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with the way that everything turned out. I put many hours into these updates over the last couple of days and I couldn't be happier with the result (and my ability to work out the kinks that arose). I think you all will enjoy the new look, features, and easier navigation.

Future plans...
I thought I'd take the time to explain in further detail what, at this point, I have planned for my website sometime in the (hopefully) not so distant future:
1, 2). First off I am currently working on an intro page. This page will take the place of the homepage you now first see when you enter DavidSanctuary.com. The intro page will be used as a portal to the existing davidsanctuary.com as well as a way to navigate to three (at this point in time) additional sub-sites each dedicated to a particular interest of mine. As of right now I have planned to make sites relating to music, books, and outdoor activities (hiking, camping, rock climbing, boating, etc.). Depending on how well that works out, farther in the future I may add more sub-sites possibly with something like cooking. In essence I would like DavidSanctuary.com to become a decent representation of my interests and what I am involved in. You could say that it will be my 24/7 Christmas letter.
After I do some more research and learn how to do some basic Flash work, I will incorporate that into my intro page so that it looks more modern and has some movement. I am currently working on this intro page and hope to have a prototype up shortly.
Once I have at least one of the additional sub-sites up and running (with the proper hosting) the current DavidSanctuary.com will become movies.DavidSanctuary.com, with the other branches following suit (i.e. music.DavidSanctuary.com, books.DavidSanctuary.com, etc.).
3). On the current site I have plans to add a page for foreign movies. Most of the content on this page will be Italian movies, as I have not seen many films from other foreign countries. In format this one page will include similar content as most of the other pages, but in abbreviated form.
4). I would like to include a page for my little brother Levi's foray into filmdom. I'm not entirely sure on the format yet, but it will probably include one or two of his short films, as well as some personal words from Levi. Maybe I'll be able to get him to keep us all informed about what he is working on or has planned. You can see some samples of what he has done here!
5.) Last is the three pages I've been working on for a couple of years now: My Top 5 Actors, Actresses, and Directors. All three of these pages have been started with the Directors page nearly finished. I was very close to unveiling these a couple of years ago, but during a reinstall of Windows on my desktop they mistakenly did not get saved. Therefore, I lost all I had worked on and had to start over from scratch. Unfortunately, since then my free time has been incredibly scarce and I have not been able to finish them all. I would like to get them all up at the same time, since they are in a way connected to one another. However, maybe I will work on them one at a time and put them into service when I finish each individual one.
As you can see I have a lot in the works, whether in production or merely in mind. Since I only have three and a half terms left of school I hope to have a lot more time to get all of this done once school is over. I'll state right now that I'd like to have all of this done by September, 2009. There, I set a deadline; now I'm going to have to work to keep it, so I don't disappoint.
Remember, if you have any suggestions about anything I've written here or something I omitted, leave me a comment. Also, if anyone wants to volunteer their web design skills to help me out (especially in regards to using Flash) that would be fantastic.

What this blog is all about...
Welcome to davidsanctuary.blogspot.com If you haven't already figured it out, this is the accompany blog to my movies website, www.davidsanctuary.com.
It is my intention to use this blog as a place to make a few recommendations on the topics of movies. That might entail which movie I think you should rent, see in the theater, or buy. These will be recommendations that just weren't good enough to be considered for the "Feature" section of my site, but still warrant a quick mention.
I will also be using this blog to discuss things going on in the movie business that intrigues me. It is my hope that through postings of this nature we will be able to interact with each other. So please, leave your comments and let's share viewpoints or information on films.
From time to time I may also include postings related to TV, especially if it has something to do with Smallville!
Again, welcome to the newest branch of my website. Check back often as this is the component I will be able to update the quickest. Therefore, I will be updating this blog a lot more often than the website.
Enjoy!
